'Chosun Lawyer' Han So-eun, Cha Hak-yeon loves the son of her enemy who killed her father
In the 13th episode of MBC's Friday-Saturday drama 'The Joseon Lawyer', which aired on the 12th, Han So-eun appeared in the role of Kang Eun-soo, the younger brother of Kang Han-soo (played by Woo Do-hwan).
On this day's broadcast, the title 'Falling Flowers - Falling Flowers' was released, along with the face of Kang Eun-soo (played by Han So-eun) shedding tears. And his heart is depicted as being trampled by his enemy Yoo Je-se (Cheon Ho-jin's father), who caused his father's death due to his past history, and eventually being identified as a party to the affair that shook the government and being imprisoned.
'The Joseon Lawyer' is based on the story of Kang Han-su, a lawyer from the Joseon Dynasty who takes revenge through a trial against the enemy who killed his parents. Kang Eun-soo, Kang Han-soo's younger brother, without knowing anything, was a facilitator in strangling the government's ministers by fabricating an affair case due to the powerful family member Yu Je-se, the enemy of the two.
Kang Eun-su eventually found out that Yu Je-se was his enemy and tried to kill him with a silver sword. However, he was stopped by Yoo Je-se's son Yoo Ji-seon (Cha Hak-yeon) who saw this. Yoo Ji-seon, who was searching for the identity of Kang Eun-soo, Kang Han-soo's younger brother, found out all the secrets of the past and knelt down and apologized. Kang Eun-soo shed tears and warmly hugged Yoo Ji-seon, whom she loves, as she tried to dissuade him, and was depicted deciding to do something, saying, 'You and your father are different.'
Kang Eun-soo, who recognized her brother Kang Han-su, hid her presence even in a situation where Yu Ji-seon and her brother met and almost ended up in a three-way confrontation. Then, I looked around my older brother Kang Han-su's residence and reminisced about my family. And on his way back home, he became the protagonist of a rare affair, was arrested, and ended up in prison.
The incident escalated to the point where King Lee Hyul (played by Song Geon-hee) came to visit the prison. In the meantime, Kang Eun-soo calmly said that she wanted to touch Yongan, but both internally and externally she said, 'For that position... how many people have to die... (even my parents...)', making Han a victim of the power struggle and falling apart. The family's sadness was expressed through delicate acting that suppressed emotions.
In the end, in a chaotic situation, Kang Eun-soo's servant asked Kang Eun-soo for help, and she belatedly found out that her biological sister was Kang Eun-soo after seeing the flower shoes her sister wore when she got married. Kang Eun-soo, who had endured it all alone in prison without a trace of blood, shed tears as she reunited with her older brother, Kang Han-soo, in prison.
While the broadcast on this day stirred up the drama by revealing the sad family history of Kang Han-soo, a foreign lawyer from the Joseon Dynasty, the performance of actress Han So-eun, who played the role of Kang Eun-soo, Kang Han-soo's younger brother, stood out. This is because, throughout the entire story of episode 13, he was another link between the enemy and the person seeking revenge, and a character who caused an explosion of emotions.
Kang Eun-soo, created by Han So-eun, aroused overwhelming interest as a woman with a good heart, shining beauty, and a calm yet strong side. Han So-eun shed tears from the beginning, and as she hugged Cha Hak-yeon, she shed tears as she calmly accepted that their relationship cannot be achieved due to her love and sad fate, and then shed tears upon meeting her older brother Woo Do-hwan, whom she reunited with after a long time, making her cry.
