Seraphim achieves music broadcast grand slam just one year after debut
Le Seraphim (Kim Chae-won, Sakura, Heo Yun-jin, Kazuha, Hong Eun-chae) ranked first on SBS' 'Inkigayo' broadcast on the 14th with the title song 'UNFORGIVEN (feat. Nile Rodgers)' from their first full-length album. The members said, “We won first place in a row on music shows this week. I really can't believe it and I'm truly grateful. We always say, ‘Le Seraphim is one team.’ “I am grateful and love you to FEARNOT (fandom name) for giving me such a valuable award,” he said.
Le Seraphim previously appeared on SBS M's 'The Show' and MBC M's 'Show! After winning first place in ‘Champion’ and Mnet’s ‘M Countdown’, KBS 2TV’s ‘Music Bank’ and MBC’s ‘Show! They swept up to first place on all three terrestrial music shows, including 'Music Core' and SBS' 'Inkigayo', and lifted a total of six trophies. Le Seraphim boasted explosive growth by achieving the music broadcast grand slam just one year after their debut.
'UNFORGIVEN (feat. Nile Rodgers)' is maintaining the top spot on the daily charts of Korea's major music sites - Melon, Genie, and Bugs - at 2nd, 3rd, and 3rd, respectively, as of the 13th. In Spotify Korea's 'Daily Top Songs', it has maintained the top spot for 11 consecutive days (May 2-12) since its release.
The album of the same name exceeded 1.25 million copies in the first week (album sales for a week based on the release date) based on Hanteo Chart, a domestic album sales statistics site, and achieved the first million seller in the shortest period of time among K-pop girl groups in history. In this way, Le Seraphim has solidified its position as a 'K-pop top player' by achieving remarkable results in everything from album sales, a measure of fandom size, to music rankings, a measure of popularity.
Meanwhile, with their first full-length album 'UNFORGIVEN', Le Seraphim ranked first in the weekly album ranking, weekly digital album ranking, and weekly total album ranking announced by Japan's Oricon on the 15th, showing off their popularity as the 'top' 4th generation girl group. Le Seraphim is the first foreign female artist to win three Oricon weekly rankings this year.
