Ji Hyun-woo, ‘A Gentleman and a Lady’ ranks first on Japanese Netflix
According to the agency Royalty E&M on the 18th, the drama 'A Gentleman and a Lady' starring Ji Hyun-woo is gaining popularity in Japan. According to Flix Patrol, an OTT platform viewership ranking site, 'A Gentleman and a Lady' started in 4th place in the Japanese Netflix Top 10 TV Shows category on the 3rd, and has been maintaining its position as the throne of popularity, rising to 1st place since the 11th.
Even though it has been about 1 year and 3 months since the drama ended, as soon as the Netflix streaming service was launched in Japan, its popularity quickly rose and it ranked first. Ranking first in Japan's OTT rankings shows that Ji Hyun-woo is demonstrating his immense popularity as a Korean Wave star and global gentleman.
In particular, in September of last year, 'A Gentleman and a Lady' rose to 3rd place in the Netflix TV show category's global chart, garnering a lot of love from domestic fans when it aired, and after its end, it garnered a lot of attention globally for its global turnaround, receiving a lot of love from fans in Asia and other countries. Recently, it once again swept first place on Netflix in Japan, drawing attention every time it aired regardless of nationality and time, recording a new history of comebacks.

Ji Hyun-woo recently appeared on Channel A's 'Because I Like Go Doo-shim' and shared his memories of 'A Gentleman and a Lady'. Ji Hyun-woo, who received the grand prize for acting for 'A Gentleman and a Lady' last year, said, "I didn't expect to receive the award, and honestly, I was a little scared when I did. After receiving the award, I headed straight to Odaesan and thought, 'Let's forget about receiving the grand prize until the end of the work.'" He revealed the behind-the-scenes episode that made him feel better.
