'Between Marriage and Divorce 2' suggested 'conflict mediation time' rather than a solution

The divorce observation reality show 'Between Marriage and Divorce' is back with Season 2. In the midst of the couple's entertainment, the production team emphasized the authenticity of 'their experiences' amidst concerns that they were emphasizing 'stimulating content' that was not much different from the existing ones.

In 'Between Marriage and Divorce 2', couples choose to maintain their marriage or divorce after appearing.

If you choose to divorce, this program can become a 'divorce live broadcast'. PD Park Nae-ryong said, "This program started with the thought, 'Is divorce bad?' If you don't like each other, you might break up. It developed into a plan that it would be nice to film people who are in the middle of marriage and divorce." Producer Lee Jin-hyeok said, "There were a lot of people like that around us during production. This kind of story came out naturally. The first question was, 'Why did you get divorced? It was vague.

Music director Yoon Sang said, "Among the production crew, there are people who have married lives full of love, and there are people who don't. I felt the sincerity." The two PDs also emphasized the sincerity of the program's planning, saying, "It was a crossroads between marriage and divorce during Season 1, but during Season 2, there are some production crews who ended up in a situation of divorce." Music director Yoon Sang said, "My parents divorced when I was young. At that time, the social atmosphere about divorce was colder than now. Rather, I thought that if I opened it up and showed it like this, it would have a positive effect."

In Season 2, children of couples who are going through a divorce crisis often appear. PD Lee Jin-hyeok said, "Exposing their children to broadcasting was also a concern for the production team. During season 2, we created a space called 'Daycare Center' and separated the children while the couples were talking. It's because of the problem," he said. Still, he confided, "I couldn't take the kids apart for a long time. I couldn't leave them at the daycare center all day. So when there were children, fights inevitably came and went." He continued, "It's a risk for us to expose our children, but there's also the fact that if you hide the couple, you won't be able to see the real them. It's difficult, but we took it into account."

Season 1 was criticized for not properly resolving the marital conflict and only showing the conflict. PD Park Nae-ryong said, "I didn't try to give a solution while doing the program, but I didn't graze either. I wanted the couple to properly think through their time alone. During the filming, I gave them enough time to wonder if it was okay to leave them alone. I think I chose divorce and marriage after looking for it. We are not a program that provides solutions." Producer Lee Jin-hyeok said, "We can't solve all the couple's problems in a short time. I think that when a couple appears on this program, they can have time to see each other in a new way." Music director Yoon Sang said, "From the perspective of the viewers who watched the preview, I wouldn't have been able to work on the music if it had only been frustrating and stimulating. Seeing married couples desperate to make big decisions for their future gave me a motivation that I had never felt before while working on music.
