The 2049 audience rating (based on Nielsen Korea), a key indicator of channel competitiveness and topicality, was 5.6%, which also broke its own record and took first place among all programs on Friday.
The broadcast on this day started with the members of Doldam Hospital welcoming the first ace Kang Dong-joo. The juniors were agitated by the rumors of Kang Dong-ju, a legendary warrior who fought with Kim Sa-bu (Han Seok-gyu) with fists. After being discharged from the military, Kang Dong-joo went to the United States to study and gain experience in trauma, and returned, expressing his determination by saying, “As a rule, let’s start from there.”

Lee Seon-woong (played by Lee Hong-nae), a first-year fellow, was unable to perform surgery alone, and Sabu Kim was in surgery, so he could not take care of this patient right away. At this time, at the same time as Cha Eun-jae was undergoing surgery, the injured in a triple collision came to the trauma center. Embarrassed, Cha Eun-jae sweated to finish the operation quickly and return to the trauma center.
The trauma center was busy. Kang Dong-joo informed Sabu Kim of the situation and asked if it was possible to cover pediatric trauma patients. Sabu Kim perfectly understood Kang Dong-joo's desire to take care of a pediatric trauma patient and entrusted the patient to him. However, Kang Dong-joo's plan was twisted, and he was furious when he learned of Cha Eun-jae's departure. Kang Dong-joo has to take care of three trauma patients by himself. Kang Dong-ju was worried, but Kim Sa-bu did not intervene, remembering the promise he made with Kang Dong-ju, who asked him to "trust me until the end, as long as you entrusted it to me."
Seo Woo-jin, who heard about the emergency, went to Kang Dong-ju despite being in rehabilitation. Seo Woo-jin, who folded and bandaged two of his left fingers during rehabilitation, was able to use only three fingers. Seo Woo-jin said, “I only help with my left hand. I still have a good right hand,” and helped Kang Dong-joo. Kang Dong-joo's unstoppable hand movements, which quickly caught the bleeding, resembled Master Kim's. Seo Woo-jin, who saw this, couldn't help but be surprised. Despite the efforts of the two people, the patient's condition worsened and eventually died.
However, there were still patients left. Kang Dong-joo contacted Cha Eun-jae about a surgery that required a CS combine, and rebuked the trauma specialist for performing non-traumatic surgery. Confronting this, Seo Woo-jin said, “Is it scolding to save people?” Kang Dong-joo tells the story of a kite bird following a stork and dying, saying, “There is only one person in the world who can become like Master in this world. Don't run mindlessly just to chase that step. Next time you might lose something other than your hand.”
Master Kim was watching the fight between the two disciples. Along with this, “Teacher can be our spirit, but he must not be our goal. Then, nothing will be successful.” Kang Dong-joo was drawn. I respect Kim Sabu, but I guessed Kang Dong-joo's will to walk towards the goal according to his own steps. Kang Dong-joo, who performed his first surgery at the trauma center alone, said, “I will start. Carl!” he shouted. The ending of Cha Eun-jae running to the operating room and Seo Woo-jin watching the operation amplified the curiosity in the next story about what kind of stimulus Kang Dong-joo will be to them.
