Park Yu-rim "My first starring role, feel the responsibility, burden and weight"
A. It was a work that challenged me a lot and learned in many ways. It was a great honor to be able to show viewers the actor Park Yu-rim through 'Brothers of Miracles'. From the beginning of the first filming to the last filming, I did not realize that I was living as Hyun-soo in the work, but now that the end is near, I can feel that I am heading towards the end. I sincerely thank everyone who made and watched 'Brothers in Miracles' and those who accompanied Hyeon-su's journey. In order to repay the affection sent to Hyeonsu, I will come back with another good work.
Q. You are meeting the public in a variety of ways, from the movie 'Drive My Car' to your first lead role 'Miracle Brothers'. Is there anything you want to convey through the character of detective Park Hyeon-soo in 'Brothers of Miracles'?
A. It was my first lead role, so I worked with a sense of responsibility, burden, and weight. There must be many people who still don't know who I am as an actor, so I was very happy to be able to show that there is an actor named Park Yoo-rim through 'Miracle Brothers'. I want to meet viewers again as a diverse, colorful and flexible actor by improving and filling in the missing parts.
Q. What are the most memorable lines and scenes among Hyeonsu's lines? Why?
A. I remember the scene where Detective Kim returned to the police station with Cheetah in episode 13. Even while filming then, I was moved. It was because the filming was nearing its end, and it felt as if the strong 3 teams, which had been scattered even though they were one team, had come together as one. More than anything, I have a lot of affection for the powerful 3 teams that I was with while filming 'Miracle Brothers'.
And the action scene with Jae-soo in episode 16 is also memorable. When I received the script and confirmed that there was an action scene, I was worried that I would be able to do it well, but after learning and practicing, I gained momentum and it was fun. It was also my first action acting challenge, and I would like to try again if I get a chance later.
Q. What if there was a memorable viewer response while watching 'Miracle Brothers'?
A. Jungwoo sunbaenim once told me to trust me and watch until episode 4 at the press conference. There were many reactions from viewers saying that they must watch until the 4th episode after hearing that, and I felt the trust and communication between the actors and the viewers, so it was memorable. Also, thank you very much for watching continuously after that. And the closest reaction I could feel was that of my family and friends. After the broadcast ended, I was contacted saying that I was enjoying it, and I was contacted to inform me of a spoiler at the end. I felt proud and proud of ‘Miracle Brothers’, and I was just as grateful.
Q. Is there anything you would like to say to Hyunsoo Park, who you have been with for several months?
A. "Stretch out your feet and rest" So far, I have been running only looking forward, only looking at Hyeonsu, and only looking at 'Miracle Brothers', so now I hope you will send the work well and put down the many emotions you felt while working on the work. On the other hand, meeting Hyeon-soo seems to have strengthened my heart. It seems that the time has come to let Hyeon-soo go through the joys and sorrows in 'Brothers of Miracles'. I sincerely hope that a warm spring will come to Hyeon-soo and he will laugh a lot and be happy. Hyeonsu really worked hard!
Q. Is there a genre you want to try and a role you want to challenge in the future?
A. I am also very interested in the romantic comedy genre with realistic and simple stories. So far, I've taken on a lot of pretty heavy roles, but I want to play a lighter and brighter role than what I've shown so far. It would be nice to have works that contain small daily life that you can take out and look at when you are relaxing.
Q. What if you gave us a hint about Park Yu-rim's next project?
A. The next film is the Netflix movie 'Ballerina'. I was learning ballet as a hobby, but while taking on the role of Min-hee, I worked hard and sweated to become a ballerina. This is a work full of my love and passion. It's completely different from Hyeon-soo in 'Brothers of Miracles', so I'm very excited to see how people will view it. I made a lot of changes in my appearance, so you might think, "Is this Hyeon-soo?" yes hyeonsu is right! Following Hyeon-soo, I would appreciate it if you would look forward to Min-hee a lot and show interest.
Q. Lastly, a word to the viewers who loved 'Miracle Brothers'
A. 'Miracle Brothers', who spent a hot summer together, has come to an end. I still vividly remember the first filming, but I feel very sad that it has ended. I hope that 'Miracle Brothers' will remain as a drama that warmly touches the hearts of those who are struggling with sadness and hardship. Since it is my first lead role in a drama, thank you so much for cheering me on even though I am still lacking, and for traveling with 'Miracle Brothers' and Hyeon-soo. I will continue to work hard to meet viewers with good works.
