Jeon Yeong-rok "My parents resent me a lot... Recognized by my father after 20 years of debut"

Jeon Yeong-rok recalled his strict father.

On the 37th episode of tvN STORY 'The Chairman's People', which aired on the 26th, Dokgo Youngjae called and 'Celebrity II' Jeon Yeong-rok and Park Jun-gyu visited the chairman's family.

In the last episode 36, the identity of the first singer who played the acoustic guitar in ripped jeans and a blue jacket was Jeon Yeong-rok. Jeon Yeong-rok is the second son of actor Hwang Hae and singer Baek Seol-hee. He said he struggled a lot between his father recommending an actor and his mother recommending a singer. He debuted as an actor and became famous as a singer, proving his 'celebrity DNA'. Jeon Young-rok recalled, "My parents resented me a lot. They didn't tell me how to act or sing. My father said one thing. 'If I tell you, it's the Yellow Sea. There is no Jeon Young-rok.' That's when I realized," he recalled. Dokgo Youngjae remembered that Jeon Youngrok's father, Hwang Hae, was strict during his lifetime. Jeon Young-rok agreed, saying, "I sang harder than acting. My father saw me doing a duet with Yoon Si-nae and finally said that I was like a singer. That was 20 years after my debut."

Jeon Yeong-rok made his debut in the drama 'The 3rd Classroom', digested action acting without a substitute in the movie 'Dolly', and gained popularity as an all-round entertainer, leading the trend in the 80's.
