Director Kim Cheol-gyu "Lee Jun-ho's special appearance, I wanted to leave a lasting impression, so I contacted him directly and wrote it off"
Director Kim Chul-gyu met Ten Asia at a cafe in Jongno-gu, Seoul on the 3rd and told various stories about the Netflix series 'Celebrity', which was released on the 30th of last month.
'Celebrity' is the story of Ari (played by Park Kyu-young), who jumped into the world of money by becoming famous, and depicts the colorful and fierce faces of celebrities. The story of SNS, which is very close to our daily life, and the influencers who reign there as emerging aristocrats are excitingly unraveled.
Directed by Kim Chul-kyu, who directed the dramas 'Flower of Evil', 'Confession', 'Chicago Typewriter', 'On the Way to the Airport', 'Daemul', and 'Hwang Jin-yi'. Through 'Celebrity', director Kim Cheol-kyu showed various ways of expression that he had not tried in other dramas or movies.
'Celebrity' also has a splendid lineup of special cast members. Among them, Lee Jun-ho, who is currently appearing in the JTBC Saturday drama 'King the Land', will decorate the last episode. Director Kim Cheol-kyu and Lee Jun-ho worked together in the drama 'Confession'.
Regarding Lee Jun-ho's special appearance, director Kim Cheol-gyu said, "It's the last scene and the last cut, but I wanted to leave a lingering impression. (The story) was organized, and I wanted to leave a lingering effect that another character would be interested in or fascinated by watching the world."
"So, 'Does this story start again?' Or, I wanted to leave a lingering feeling of curiosity, ‘Is someone else jumping into this world?’ I wanted an impactful, well-known actor to do it,” he added.
Director Kim Cheol-gyu laughed, saying, "Actually, I contacted actor Jun-ho directly and asked him to do it without hesitation. He was willing to do it. I'm grateful. Actor Lee Jun-ho will have a cameo role or a special appearance for the first time."
