Kim Tae-ri, more encroached by demons... The moment of 'Ghost' peaked at 14.3%
It wasn't Jin Seon-gyu who left a memento for 'demon' Kim Tae-ri, but Jin Seon-gyu's demon. The more vicious demon runaway threw Kim Tae-ri into confusion.

The ratings (Nielsen Korea) for the 5th episode of SBS Friday-Saturday drama 'Ghost', which aired on the 7th, increased from the previous episode, with 12.2% for households in the metropolitan area and 10.8% for households nationwide. It broke its own record again, exceeding 12% in the metropolitan area. It rose to a maximum of 14.3% at the moment and kept the top spot in the same time zone and all Friday programs. The 2049 audience rating, which is a key indicator of channel competitiveness and topicality, recorded 4.3%, ranking first in the same time period.

Kang Mo (played by Jin Seon-gyu), who appeared in front of her daughter San-yeong (played by Kim Tae-ri) as a vengeful spirit, said, "It's not me. I couldn't help it either. I'm sorry" and left. Park's grandmother (Lee Yong-yi), who wanted to be with her daughter who returned as a guest ghost, made a ghost trail using the 'Nopyo Jangseung', which served as a compass, and Hae-hae, who learned that guest ghosts had flocked to Baekchagol Village, was on top of the cliff. It's because he found the Jangseung and destroyed it. Gangmo and other guest ghosts disappeared from Baekchagol Village.

After this incident, San-yeong's mother, Gyeong-moon (played by Park Ji-young), who was determined to know about her father, could no longer hide the cruel secret. Kyung-moon married Kang-mo, who came to her hometown, Baekcha-gol, for a regional investigation. She was happy with her loving husband who listened to her words, but misfortune began when San-young became pregnant with her second child when she was five years old. Before giving birth, Kyung-moon coldly warned, "The second one will die. I'll kill it," and ran away to her parents' house in fear of Kang-mo, who behaved strangely, but ended up miscarrying. It didn't end here. Her mother, who was opposed to marrying Kang-mo, jumped into the well herself, leaving only the word, "run away." Along the way, Gyeong-moon brought San-young out of Hwawon-jae, and that was the last time he and Kang-mo were together.

Only then did Sanyeong and Haehae resolve their doubts about Kangmo. The same demon was attached to Kangmo. Gangmo left a letter asking for an ominous object with a demon on her daughter, and a mountain that she hadn't even met. Furthermore, it was the reason why a folklorist who was reluctant to break taboos wrote a will and a letter in red letters. Kangmo's message, "It's not me," also meant this. The case of a fellow professor who criticized Kang Mo, as well as his mother-in-law and students who committed suicide leaving red bruises on their wrists was also an explanation.

There was also a reason why Kang-mo, possessed by evil spirits, told Gyeong-moon, "The second must die. The second died in Jangjin-ri." Whenever there was a misfortune in the village, there was a bad custom of making a crown prince and making it a village guardian deity to prevent evil and bring abundance, and the child who was sacrificed in order to protect the firstborn had to be the second. After hearing Hae-hae's explanation, San-young was indignant, saying, "If I had been killed by my family and neighbors whom I trusted, I would have wanted to take revenge like that."

In the meantime, the evil spirits encroached on Sanyeong even more. After being contacted by Semi (played by Yang Hye-ji) to come to her high school classmate Yoon-jeong's (played by Lee Ji-won) wedding after party, San-young bought expensive clothes, shoes, and a bag to decorate herself to the fullest. The card she held out was that of the sea. Sanyoung, who appeared at the hotel wine bar humming in fancy clothes, drank wine and enjoyed the party. To Yoon-jung, who looked down on Se-mi, saying, "I'm only a 9th-level civil servant," he poured out a sharp remark, "I was fidgeting because I didn't have any friends to take wedding photos for me."

While everyone was taken aback by Sanyeong's unusual behavior, as if she had been possessed by something, Sanyeong, who came back to her senses, panicked and ran out. As if mocking the frightened San-young, not knowing what the hell he had done, the demon whispered, "It's all you wanted." Sat down in confusion and despair, Sanyoung cried out, "Stop it!"

In the meantime, Hae-hae, who was still struggling with the question of why Gui had attracted San-young and himself, suddenly remembered the rope he had seen at Kang-mo's mother-in-law's house in Baekcha-gol. After confirming that the rope was twisted to the left, I ran to the place and found a piece of blue pottery tied with a gold string. It was the very piece of pottery that Hae-hae's mother had buried before she died. At that moment, the demon that encroached on Sanyeong smiled coldly, saying "I found it" as if it had obtained what it wanted. From red ribbons to blue pottery pieces, the creepy mystery of what these ominous objects related to demons mean, heightened tension.
