'Marriage Number 4' Seo Hyun-jin, Gong Yoo and fixed-term couple cast in Netflix's 'Trunk'
Actors Seo Hyun-jin and Gong Yoo become married for a limited time through Netflix's 'Trunk'.

On the 17th, Netflix announced the news of the casting of Seo Hyun-jin and Gong Yoo along with the news of the production confirmation of 'Trunk'. 'Trunk' is a story of a secret marriage service that begins to be revealed due to a trunk floating on the shore of a lake and a strange marriage between a man and a woman placed in it.

It is based on the novel of the same name by writer Kim Ryeo-ryeong, who wrote 'Wandeuk' and 'Elegant Lies'. The contract period is only one year, the unconventional setting of a premium matching service that finds a customized spouse, and the stories of those involved in various relationships flow unpredictably.

Director Kim Gyu-tae of the dramas 'Our Blues', 'It's Okay, That's Love', and 'Live' will direct, and writer Park Eun-young of the drama 'Hwarang' will write the script to create a fresh and unconventional story.

In particular, 'Trunk' is the first work in which Seo Hyun-jin and Gong Yoo work together. In the play, Seo Hyun-jin takes on the role of In-ji, an employee of NM, a company that matches fixed-term marriages. After four marriages, Inji meets Jeongwon as the spouse of her fifth marriage.

Gong Yoo plays Jeong Won, a music producer who is consumed by anxiety and loneliness due to the pain of the past. Ironically, he is the first person to meet his second wife, Inji, through the fixed-term spousal service requested by his ex-wife, Seo-yeon, whom he still misses.

Jeongwon and Inji, each with their own secrets and pains, get to know each other little by little and become accustomed to each other, but one day they fall into a whirlwind of events due to a mysterious trunk found on the lakeside.
