CORTIS's 'REDRED' Dominates Global Music Charts with Impressive Debut
The title track from CORTIS's (Martin, James, Juhun, Sunghyun, Gunho) second mini-album, 'REDRED', claimed the top spot on YouTube's 'Trending Worldwide' chart just a day after its release on the 21st. This chart ranks videos based on combined views and growth metrics of music videos and stage performances. The 'REDRED' music video garnered over 3.2 million views within 24 hours of its release. As of 7 AM on the 22nd, it had entered the trending music charts in 24 countries and regions worldwide.
The response in the North American market is particularly notable. The song ranked 22nd on the U.S. YouTube trending music chart and 13th in Canada. In the domestic charts, the song showed an upward trend, climbing from 25th place at 10 AM on the 21st to 17th by 7 AM on the 22nd. It maintained the top spot in Taiwan and Vietnam, and ranked highly in other Asian markets such as Indonesia (3rd), Malaysia (7th), and Singapore (8th). In Europe, it charted in Norway and Sweden (12th), Denmark (13th), and the Netherlands and the UK (20th). It also appeared on charts in the Middle East, including the UAE and Saudi Arabia (24th).
On the iTunes platform, as of 6 AM on the 22nd, 'REDRED' entered the 'Top Songs' chart in 14 regions, including Singapore, Turkey, and Russia. It held the top spot for two consecutive days in Indonesia, Thailand, and Vietnam.
Alongside the success of the new track, there is renewed interest in their previous work. Their first mini-album, 'COLOR OUTSIDE THE LINES', topped the Billboard 'World Albums' chart on April 25th, eight months after its release. It also re-entered the 'Top Album Sales' chart in the U.S., ranking 7th.
Meanwhile, CORTIS will release a performance video of 'REDRED' on their YouTube channel 'Studio Choom' at 10 PM on the 22nd.
