BTS's 'ARIRANG' Dominates Billboard 200 for Four Consecutive Weeks
According to a preview article released by Billboard on April 20, 'ARIRANG' secured the No. 3 spot on the Billboard 200 chart dated April 25. The album, which was released on March 20, debuted at No. 1 on the April 4 chart and held the top position for three consecutive weeks. Even a month after its release, it remains in the top 3, showcasing its enduring popularity.
This achievement marks BTS's highest fourth-week position on the Billboard 200 to date. Their previous best was the No. 8 spot achieved by their 2019 mini-album 'MAP OF THE SOUL: PERSONA'.
The excitement continues in concert venues worldwide. BTS kicked off their 'BTS WORLD TOUR 'ARIRANG'' at the Goyang Sports Complex Main Stadium on April 9, 11, and 12, drawing approximately 132,000 fans. Following this, their performances at Japan's Tokyo Dome on April 17 and 18 attracted 110,000 attendees over two days. During the Tokyo Dome concert, local fans joined in a sing-along during the performance of their new song 'Body to Body', which features the melody of the Korean folk song 'Arirang'. BTS is set to begin their North American tour on April 25, 26, and 28 at the Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida.
