Virtual Idol Group PLAVE Returns with 'Caligo Pt.2': A Musical Journey to New Heights

Virtual idol group PLAVE is making a comeback with their fourth mini-album 'Caligo Pt.2'.

PLAVE will release their new mini-album 'Caligo Pt.2' on the 13th, marking their return to the music scene.

This album is a continuation of their third mini-album 'Caligo Pt.1', released in February last year. It intensifies the group's narrative, driving towards a climax while concluding one storyline and opening possibilities for another.

The album showcases an expanded musical spectrum with a variety of genres. It includes the title track 'Born Savage', pre-released track '흥흥흥', and three other songs: '꽃송이들의 퍼레이드', 'Lunar Hearts', and '그런 것 같아'.

The title track 'Born Savage' is a rock-based track centered around a gritty guitar sound. It features heavy kicks, sharp electric guitar, and deep bass, creating an overwhelming sense of weight and tension. The members' bold vocals add to the track, conveying their resolute determination as they stand on the stage of destiny. The performance, completed through the collaboration of choreographers Bada and Riehata, is expected to elevate the song's scale.

The first track, '꽃송이들의 퍼레이드', is an a cappella piece completed solely with vocals. The blend of different vocal colors adds vibrant liveliness to the song. The harmony created by diverse vocals and teamwork conveys the thrilling emotions of spring.

'흥흥흥', featuring SOLE, is an R&B hip-hop track with a comfortable tempo, addictive melody, and rap verses. As the first track to feature a female vocalist, SOLE's voice adds depth to the 'push and pull' theme of a couple, creating a charming atmosphere with its dynamic pacing.

'Lunar Hearts' is a ballad track with a dramatic progression and emotional appeal. The layered orchestral sound creates a grand and dreamy atmosphere, completing a narrative with PLAVE's unique fairy-tale-like sensibility.

The final track, '그런 것 같아', is a retro track borrowing the New Jack Swing style popular in first-generation K-pop. PLAVE reinterprets this past genre in a modern way, offering both familiarity and freshness for an enjoyable listening experience.

Last November, PLAVE proved their musical prowess with the release of their second single album 'PLBBUU'. Later that month, they concluded their debut Asia tour with a sold-out two-day concert at Seoul's Gocheok Sky Dome, titled 'DASH: Quantum Leap Encore'.

PLAVE's new mini-album 'Caligo Pt.2' will be available on various music platforms at 6 PM today.
