BTS Teases New Track 'SWIM' Ahead of Highly Anticipated Comeback
At midnight on the 18th, BTS released the music video teaser for 'SWIM,' the title track of their fifth studio album 'ARIRANG,' on their official social media and YouTube channels. This teaser marks the first reveal of the song's melody, heightening anticipation for their return after 3 years and 9 months.
The teaser video begins with a woman rushing into an empty museum, exploring the exhibition space. She stops in front of a large ship model, unable to take her eyes off it. As the surrounding lights gradually dim, the model is spotlighted. The scene then transitions to a shimmering sea, with the word 'SWIM' appearing over the gentle waves.
Directed by Tanu Muino, the video is crafted like a cinematic experience. Tanu Muino has previously worked with artists such as Jungkook on 'Standing Next to You,' Post Malone, Doja Cat, and Dua Lipa.
BTS will release their new album 'ARIRANG' on the 20th at 1 PM. Executive produced by Bang Si-hyuk, the album explores BTS's identity and universal emotions that resonate with many. The title track 'SWIM' is an upbeat alternative pop song about persevering through life's waves. RM contributed to the lyrics, infusing BTS's thoughts into the song.
Following their comeback, BTS will actively engage with fans. On the 21st at 8 PM, they will host 'BTS THE COMEBACK LIVE | ARIRANG' at Gwanghwamun Square. Additionally, on the 24th, they will collaborate with Spotify for 'Spotify X BTS: SWIMSIDE' in New York, where they will meet local fans and perform their new song.
