ILLIT Continues Winning Streak at Japan's Prestigious Music Awards
The group ILLIT has maintained its award-winning streak at major music awards in Japan for the second consecutive year.

According to their agency, Belief Lab, ILLIT received the 'Best 3 New Artists (Asia)' award at the 40th Japan Gold Disc Awards.

First held in 1987, the Japan Gold Disc Awards are organized by the Recording Industry Association of Japan. The awards recognize artists who have contributed to the music industry's growth based on objective metrics such as album and video sales and streaming counts. The 'Best 3 New Artists (Asia)' category honors the top three new artists from Asia outside Japan with the best performance.

In the previous awards ceremony, ILLIT won multiple trophies. Their debut song 'Magnetic' earned them awards in three categories: 'Song of the Year by Download (Asia)', 'Song of the Year by Streaming (Asia)', and 'Best 5 Songs by Streaming'.

ILLIT expressed their gratitude, stating, "We are truly delighted to receive an award as artists following 'Magnetic'. We sincerely thank our fans, GLLIT, for their unwavering support."

The group achieved several milestones in Japan last year. Their song 'Almond Chocolate', released in February, experienced a resurgence on the music charts, gaining them recognition. In September, they released their first Japanese single 'Toki Yo Tomare', marking their official debut in the country.

ILLIT also appeared on major year-end Japanese TV programs, including NHK's 'Kohaku Uta Gassen', NTV's 'Annual Music Awards', Fuji TV's 'FNS Music Festival', and TBS's 'CDTV Live! Live!' for two consecutive years. Notably, at the 67th Japan Record Awards, 'Almond Chocolate' was the only foreign song to receive the 'Excellent Work Award'.
