J.Y. Park Steps Down from Board of Directors at JYP Entertainment to Focus on Creative Pursuits
On the 10th, JYP Entertainment announced, "J.Y. Park will resign from his position on the board of directors," adding that "he will not seek reappointment at the shareholders' meeting scheduled for March 26."
The company further stated, "He plans to focus on his creative activities as an artist, nurturing younger artists, and engaging in new external projects for the K-pop industry."
Since his debut in 1994, J.Y. Park has been active as a singer, songwriter, and producer, continuously contributing to the K-pop industry.
Last year, J.Y. Park was appointed as the chairman of the Presidential Committee on Cultural Exchange, a body established to develop national visions for pop culture policy and enhance the competitiveness of the cultural industry through public-private cooperation.
