MAMAMOO's Solar Expands Global Presence with New Chinese Single 'Your Own Star'

Since debuting in 2014, MAMAMOO's Solar has been making waves in the Chinese music market, further solidifying her status as a 'K-pop Diva' on the global stage.

On November 9, Solar will release her new Chinese single '總有一顆屬於你的星球' (Your Own Star) across various music platforms. Following her first Chinese single 'Floating Free' released in June last year, Solar continues to connect with her Chinese-speaking fans by singing in their language.

'Your Own Star' is a song about finding one's own coordinates and meaning of existence amidst the vast flow of time. Solar collaborates with Gen Z top band Accusefive, aiming to create a musical synergy that transcends borders and languages.

Solar first opened the door to the Chinese market with 'Floating Free'. The song, which gained attention through her collaboration with Taipei's indie scene representative singer-songwriter 9m88, topped the Taipei iTunes 'Top Songs' chart and KKBOX Top Trending Songs chart immediately after its release, receiving enthusiastic responses from local music fans.

Solar's popularity extends beyond just music chart success. As part of her Taipei promotion, she engaged with approximately 100 major local media outlets, communicating directly in Chinese. Her solo fan concert in Taipei was a resounding success, demonstrating her genuine connection with fans beyond language barriers.

Continuing her collaborations with artists like 9m88 and now Accusefive, who have strong fan bases in the region, Solar is steadily establishing herself as a solo artist in the Chinese-speaking market. Her strategic approach of not only releasing music but also engaging in local promotions showcases her as a 'Vocal Queen', drawing attention to her future endeavors.

Solar's Chinese single 'Your Own Star' will be available on various music platforms at 6 PM on November 9.
