BTS's Jungkook Breaks Spotify Records with Two Songs Surpassing 1.4 Billion Streams
Jungkook's solo track 'Standing Next to You,' released in November 2023, has exceeded 1.4 billion streams on Spotify. This achievement makes Jungkook the owner of two songs, including 'Standing Next to You' and 'Seven,' each with over 1.4 billion streams.
Despite being released over two years ago, 'Standing Next to You' maintains an impressive daily streaming count of approximately 700,000 on Spotify. The song topped Spotify's 'Daily Top Songs Global' chart and remained in the top 50 for over 120 days, staying on the chart for more than 370 days.
Jungkook's Spotify account boasts four songs with over 1 billion streams: 'Seven,' 'Left and Right,' 'Standing Next to You,' and '3D.' This milestone marks the first time an Asian solo artist has achieved such a feat.
With his debut solo track 'Seven,' Jungkook entered the 'Weekly Top Songs Global' chart, and his solo album 'GOLDEN' made it onto the 'Weekly Top Albums Global' chart, staying for 135 weeks and 119 weeks, respectively. These are the longest chart durations for any Asian solo artist.
'Standing Next to You' debuted at number 5 on the US Billboard Hot 100 and remained on the chart for 19 consecutive weeks. It also topped the Billboard Global 200 and Global (excluding the US) charts, staying in the rankings for 38 and 44 weeks, respectively. In the UK Official Singles Chart Top 100, it debuted at number 6 and stayed for 11 weeks.
The song was recognized at the '2025 BMI Pop Awards' as the 'Most Played Song of the Year' and was offered a collaboration by Usher during the 2024 Super Bowl Halftime Show. Its official music video has surpassed 210 million views on YouTube.
Meanwhile, Jungkook's personal Spotify account has surpassed 10.44 billion total streams, achieving this milestone in the shortest time for an Asian artist and as the first K-pop solo artist.
