CORTIS Makes Waves on Billboard Charts for 22 Consecutive Weeks
According to the latest chart released by Billboard on February 14th, CORTIS's debut album 'COLOR OUTSIDE THE LINES' has secured the 25th spot on the 'Top Album Sales' and 20th on the 'Top Current Album Sales'. Additionally, it has climbed to the 6th position on the 'World Albums' chart.
Members Martin and Gunho recently appeared on the YouTube channel TEO's program 'Salon Drip' on the 10th. They showcased the choreography for their song 'GO!' during the broadcast, embodying the essence of rookie artists with gestures like sipping drinks and standing greetings. Martin and Gunho expressed their gratitude, stating, "We are currently working on our next album. Although it's not our active promotion period, we are thankful to share our updates on a program we've always wanted to appear on." Host Jang Do-yeon commented, "They seem like untainted youths, like a breath of fresh air."
Gunho elaborated on the group's operational style, saying, "We plan our music videos ourselves, and although there were some differences of opinion during recent album meetings, we resolved them amicably." This reflects the group's collaborative approach to music, choreography, and video production. Regarding the track 'FaSHioN', which includes his name in the lyrics, Gunho revealed, "The lyrics are based on real episodes from our dorm life."
Martin shared his perspective as a rookie following in the footsteps of senior groups BTS and TXT, stating, "Watching our seniors' activities has inspired us to grow." He added, "I recently met singer J-Hope, and I am grateful for his warm demeanor." Martin also shared personal anecdotes about his sleeping habits, dorm life, and family stories.
CORTIS is gearing up for the release of their new album, aiming for an April launch.
