Kim Chang-wan of Kim Chang-wan Band Expresses Desire for 'Sing-Along' Song with New Single 'Seventy'
On the afternoon of the 27th, Kim Chang-wan Band held a press conference at a multi-cultural space in Jongno-gu, Seoul, to commemorate the release of their new single 'Seventy'.
During the event, Kim Chang-wan discussed the track 'Saranghae' (I Love You), saying, "I once performed on the same stage as G-Dragon. These days, even the younger bands have so many sing-along songs. It made me want to create one too." He added, "I thought about what could work, and I figured how happy it would be if everyone sang 'I Love You' together, so I insisted on making this song. The lyrics aren't much, but I'm not sure. Can a grandfather on stage really lead a sing-along?" he joked, adding humor to the conversation.
'Seventy' marks the band's first new single in 10 years since 'Time' in 2016. The album includes the title track 'Seventy' and 'Saranghae'. 'Seventy' captures Kim Chang-wan's insights and reflections as he enters his seventies, featuring a dark rock vibe with electric guitar accompaniment and a soothing voice. 'Saranghae' carries the familiar warmth of Sanulrim's past, expressing pure and joyful emotions with children.
Meanwhile, Kim Chang-wan Band's single 'Seventy' will be released on various music streaming sites at 6 PM on the 27th.
