Kim Chang-wan Band Reflects on 50th Anniversary of Sanulrim with New Single 'Seventy'
Kim Chang-wan Band has stirred curiosity by revealing that they do not place significant importance on the 50th anniversary of Sanulrim.

On the afternoon of the 27th, Kim Chang-wan Band held a press conference at a cultural complex in Jongno-gu, Seoul, to commemorate the release of their new single 'Seventy'.

As Kim Chang-wan approaches the 50th anniversary of his debut next year, he stated, "Personally, I don't attach much significance to it. It's an event that carries a rather tragic history," referencing the untimely passing of the youngest member, drummer Kim Chang-ik, in an accident in 2008. He added, "When our youngest passed away, we declared that Sanulrim no longer existed, so I don't place much importance on the 50th anniversary of Sanulrim. Instead, I hope that Kim Chang-wan Band, which carries the spirit of Sanulrim's music, will continue to honor that memory."

'Seventy' marks Kim Chang-wan Band's first new single in a decade since 'Time' in 2016. The album includes two tracks: the title song 'Seventy' and 'I Love You'. 'Seventy' captures Kim Chang-wan's insights and reflections as he surpasses seventy, featuring a dark rock vibe with electric guitar accompaniment and a soothing voice. 'I Love You' embodies the familiar and friendly emotions of Sanulrim, expressing pure and joyful sentiments with children.

Meanwhile, Kim Chang-wan Band's single 'Seventy' will be released on various music streaming sites at 6 PM on the 27th.
