BTS's 'ARIRANG' Dominates Spotify's Countdown Charts with Record-Breaking Pre-Saves

BTS's highly anticipated fifth studio album 'ARIRANG' is already making waves ahead of its release.

On the 21st, Spotify announced that 'ARIRANG' has claimed the top spot on the 'Countdown Charts Global.' This chart ranks albums and singles based on the number of pre-saves worldwide, highlighting the global anticipation for upcoming releases.

'ARIRANG' surpassed one million pre-saves just two days after pre-save availability began on the 16th, and it continued to climb, reaching over two million by the fourth day. The album maintained its number one position on the 'Top 10 Countdowns' from the second to the sixth day, showcasing its consistent popularity. BTS stands out among other major artists like Bruno Mars and Charli XCX, who are also preparing for comebacks.

The current record for the most pre-saves on Spotify is held by Taylor Swift's 12th studio album 'The Life of a Showgirl,' released on October 3rd last year, with approximately six million pre-saves. With two months remaining until its release, all eyes are on BTS to see if they can break this record.

'ARIRANG,' which is generating explosive interest, is set to be released on March 20th. Fans are eager to see the new records it will set and the milestones it will achieve in music history.

The album will feature a total of 14 tracks, exploring themes of identity, longing, and deep love, aiming to resonate with global music fans. Following the album's release, BTS will embark on a massive world tour, starting at the Goyang Sports Complex Main Stadium on April 9th.
