Annie from ALL DAY PROJECT Returns to Columbia University for Final Semester
On the 14th, Annie shared with her fans, "Were you surprised?" She explained, "I was informed early last year that I couldn't extend my leave of absence any longer, so I discussed it with my group members and the company and made the decision then."
Annie added, "I've already earned a lot of credits, so I only need to attend one more semester to graduate. It's until early May, so about three and a half months... Will you wait for me? During this time, I'll be attending school diligently, working on music in the U.S., and frequently visiting Day Off, so don't worry too much."
She also expressed, "I'm really sorry I couldn't tell Day Ones first. But you'll be proud of me when I graduate, right? I'll miss you a lot."
According to TenAsia, Annie will re-enroll in the spring semester at Columbia University, which starts around the 20th, focusing on her studies. Majoring in Art History and Visual Arts, she plans to stay in the U.S. until the semester ends in May, dedicating herself to her education.
Despite the imminent start of the semester, Annie is currently busy with advertising and photo shoots, making the most of her time before her brief hiatus. She plans to complete all her schedules and depart for the U.S. soon.
Annie's journey to Columbia University is well-known. As the eldest daughter of Shinsegae Group's Jung Yoo-kyung, she focused on her studies to gain her mother's approval for her idol debut, eventually receiving an acceptance letter from Columbia University and fulfilling her dream of debuting in a K-pop group.
With Annie's return to school, the remaining ALL DAY PROJECT members—Tarzan, Bailey, Woochan, and Youngseo—will focus on music production and individual activities to showcase their talents. Tarzan recently released a solo track, 'MEDUSA,' on the 12th, engaging with fans.
Full Statement from Annie
Day Ones, were you surprised?
I should have told you first, but I didn't expect the news to come out so suddenly.
To address your curiosities one by one...
I was informed early last year that I couldn't extend my leave of absence any longer, so I discussed it with my group members and the company and made the decision then.
And I only have one semester left!
I've already earned a lot of credits, so I only need to attend one more semester to graduate.
It's until early May, so about three and a half months... Will you wait for me?
During this time, I'll be attending school diligently, working on music in the U.S., and frequently visiting Day Off, so don't worry too much.
And actually... even if I leave this weekend, due to schedules, I'll have to come to Korea almost once or twice a month.
I'm really sorry I couldn't tell Day Ones first. But you'll be proud of me when I graduate, right?
I'll miss you a lot.
