Red Velvet's Wendy Tops Poll as Most Desired Singer to Share New Year's Rice Cake Soup With

Red Velvet's Wendy has been voted as the number one female singer people want to share rice cake soup with on January 1st.

From January 1st to 7th, TenAsia conducted a poll asking, 'Which female singer would you like to eat rice cake soup with on January 1st?' Wendy from Red Velvet emerged as the top choice. On December 16th, Wendy released 'Just One Word,' the second OST for the SBS drama 'Kiss Sixth Sense,' starring Jang Ki-yong and Ahn Eun-jin. The OST features lyrical lines like 'Just one word that you love me' and 'Now I know, I can feel it.' Last April, Wendy signed with Ascend after her contract with SM Entertainment expired.

In second place is Red Velvet's Seulgi, who is also part of the unit Red Velvet - Irene & Seulgi. On December 31st, Irene & Seulgi headlined the 'Let's Celebrate 2026' event at Siloso Beach in Sentosa, Singapore. They were the only K-pop artists invited and performed their hit song 'Monster' along with tracks from their second mini-album 'Tilt,' released in May.

Third place goes to Girls' Generation's Yuri. Kwon Yuri is set to hold her 2025 YURI's 3rd FANMEETING TOUR 'YURIVERSE' on January 10th in Taipei and January 24th in Seoul. Yuri has been actively involved in planning the fan meeting, from the corner setup to the merchandise.

Currently, on the Top Ten TenAsia website, polls are being conducted on topics such as 'Which male singer would you like to grill delicious Korean beef with in the cold winter?' and similar questions for female singers and trot singers.
