Attorney Criticizes Former NewJeans Member Danielle's Recent Actions Amid Legal Battle
Recently, a video titled 'From Now On, Kill Each Other! Danielle vs. Biological Mother vs. Adoptive Mother (ADOR's Divide and Conquer)' was uploaded to the 'The Lawyer You Know' YouTube channel.
In the video, Attorney Lee Ji-hoon pointed out the inappropriateness of Danielle's current activities, such as her involvement in volunteer work. He stated, "Now is not the time for volunteering. The NewJeans members unilaterally terminated their exclusive contracts, causing damage to the company. This harm has been passed on to the shareholders. Engaging in volunteer work while causing harm to others is not sensible."
Lee provided legal advice on how Danielle should respond to the lawsuit filed by ADOR for breach of contract and damages. He advised, "Danielle should acknowledge her wrongdoing and claim that she was gaslighted by Min Hee-jin. Although she may not be able to completely escape liability, she should aim to reduce her share of the compensation by arguing joint tort liability."
He further stressed that the relationship between Danielle and former ADOR CEO Min Hee-jin will be a key factor moving forward. "Danielle needs to sever ties with Min Hee-jin and confront her head-on. Without doing so, she cannot recover. To settle with the company, she must attack Min Hee-jin," he stated.
ADOR announced on December 29 last year that they had notified Danielle of the termination of her exclusive contract. At the time, ADOR stated, "We plan to hold legally accountable one of Danielle's family members and former CEO Min Hee-jin, who are significantly responsible for causing the exclusive contract dispute and delaying NewJeans' return."
Following through on their announcement, ADOR filed a lawsuit against Danielle, one of her family members, and former CEO Min Hee-jin for breach of contract and damages. While there were speculations that the penalty could exceed 100 billion won, the actual amount claimed by ADOR was approximately 43.1 billion won.
In response to ADOR's lawsuit, Danielle has taken immediate action by appointing a legal representative and submitting a power of attorney to the court.
