G-DRAGON Dominates MMA2025 with 'Song of the Year' Win

G-DRAGON has swept three out of four grand prizes, including 'Song of the Year', at the MMA2025.

The 'MMA2025' (Melon Music Awards 2025) took place on the 20th at the Gocheok Sky Dome in Guro-gu, Seoul. G-DRAGON's 'Home Sweet Home' was awarded 'Song of the Year', marking his triumph in three of the four grand prize categories.

After expressing his gratitude multiple times, G-DRAGON took to the stage once more. He stated, "I'm thankful. I feel really good right now. The path to receiving awards is long and arduous, but it's not difficult at all because it holds so much meaning, and I'm happy." Overcome with emotion, he paused, while the audience chanted his real name, "Kwon Ji-yong."

The award-winning song 'Home Sweet Home' features the lyrics 'Winner, winner chicken killer, samgyetang dinner.' G-DRAGON explained, "It wasn't intentional, but I had samgyetang in the morning. Maybe that's why 'Home Sweet Home' won an award. I'm happy and grateful."

In closing, G-DRAGON shared, "'Home Sweet Home' is the first track on my album. It's a warm song because my members joined me. It seems like it came out around this time last year, and I've spent a warm year. I hope you all wrap up the year well and have a happy new year."
