TWICE and JYP Entertainment Urge Fans to Respect Artist Privacy and Safety

TWICE and their agency, JYP Entertainment, have taken a firm stance on protecting the privacy of their artists.

On the 15th, JYP Entertainment posted an official notice on TWICE's official X account regarding 'Artist Privacy Protection and Safety.'

JYP stated, "Recently, there have been instances of fans invading the artists' personal schedules and private movements, excessive approaches and filming, and repeated attempts at conversation and calls. These actions can cause psychological stress and discomfort for the artists, especially given their frequent travel and overseas schedules."

The agency outlined four key requests: refraining from approaching and filming during private movements, respecting the privacy of those around the artists, avoiding excessive communication and personal demands, and maintaining a safe distance to prevent interference with the artists' movements.

JYP warned, "If such actions are repeated or deemed to cause discomfort to the artists, the company will take necessary measures to protect them. We are committed to ensuring that our artists can continue their activities and rest in a stable environment. We kindly ask for the mature consideration and cooperation of all fans."

Recently, there have been instances of fans invading the artists' personal schedules and private movements, excessive approaches and filming, and repeated attempts at conversation and calls.

These actions can cause psychological stress and discomfort for the artists, especially given their frequent travel and overseas schedules.

To protect the artists' privacy and ensure a safe environment for their movements, we provide the following guidelines:

1. Refrain from approaching and filming during private movements
Unauthorized filming, close-up shots, and following the artists during non-official schedules such as airport arrivals, vacations, home visits, and personal schedules are invasions of privacy. Please respect the artists' personal time and movements.

2. Respect the privacy of those around the artists
Please refrain from filming or exposing family, acquaintances, and friends who accompany the artists. The privacy of those around the artists should also be respected.

3. Avoid excessive communication and personal demands
Continuously speaking to the artists, requesting phone connections, asking for phone numbers, excessive autograph requests, and forcing letters or gifts during personal and official schedules can be burdensome. It is not appropriate to continue such actions even if the artist requests restraint.

4. Maintain a safe distance to prevent interference with movements
Blocking the artists' movements or filming from excessively close distances can lead to safety incidents. Please maintain an appropriate distance for safety. If such actions are repeated or deemed to cause discomfort to the artists, the company will take necessary measures to protect them.
