Jung Seo-joo Tops Poll as Most Likely Female Trot Singer to Buy Fish-Shaped Pastries in Winter

Jung Seo-joo has been voted as the number one female trot singer most likely to buy fish-shaped pastries during the cold winter months.

From November 20 to 26, TENASIA conducted a poll asking, 'Which female trot singer is most likely to buy fish-shaped pastries in the cold winter?' Jung Seo-joo emerged as the winner.

Born in 2008, Jung Seo-joo made her debut in the music industry with the release of her album 'To the Flowers'(꽃들에게) in September 2022. She gained widespread recognition after winning the title on 'Miss Trot 3' in March last year. Recently, she released 'Missing you,' an OST for the MBN drama 'First Lady,' continuing her active presence in the industry.

In second place is singer Kim Eui-young, who officially debuted as a trot singer after reaching the TOP 5 on TV Chosun's 'Miss Trot 2' in 2020. In May, she released her fourth single 'STARTrot PART.1,' produced by Kim Hyung-seok. The title track 'Do Whatever You Want'(하고 싶은 거 다 해) is a bright and upbeat dance trot song that showcases Kim Eui-young's refreshing charm.

Singer Kim Da-hyun secured the third spot. On November 18, she appeared on MBN's 'Korea-Japan Top Ten Show'(한일톱텐쇼) and delivered a powerful rendition of the 1980s hit 'After You Left.'(님 떠난 후) She revealed that her father is a fan of 80s music and captivated viewers with her mature performance. Although Takuya, who performed the original version of 'LOVE SONG' remade by Cho Jang-hyuk, also impressed with his perfect Korean lyrics, the final victory went to Kim Da-hyun.

Currently, the Top Ten TENASIA website（topten.tenasia.com) is hosting polls on topics such as 'Which male singer would you like to go winter fishing with?', 'Which female singer would you like to go winter fishing with?', 'Which male trot singer would you like to go winter fishing with?', and 'Which female trot singer would you like to go winter fishing with?'
