Hanroro's Rising Stardom: From BTS RM's Shoutout to Sold-Out Concerts

South Korean singer Hanroro has been gaining significant popularity, recently drawing a crowd of 10,000 fans to her solo concert after receiving a shoutout from BTS's RM.

On November 22-23, Hanroro held her solo concert 'Hanroro 4th Solo Concert: JAMONG SALGU CLUB' at Korea University's Hwajeong Gymnasium in Seoul, attracting approximately 10,000 attendees over two days.

This marks a significant increase in audience size compared to her debut solo concert two years ago at the 200-seat 'KT&G Sangsangmadang Hongdae Live Hall'. Last June, she performed for 1,400 fans over two days at a 700-seat venue, showcasing her rapidly growing fanbase in just 17 months.

In April, Hanroro also appeared as a guest at the global band Coldplay's Seoul concert 'Coldplay Music Of The Spheres World Tour'.

Debuting in March 2022, Hanroro gained public recognition with her debut song 'Let Me Love My Youth'(입춘), which was recommended by BTS's RM. In 2022, RM shared a screenshot of his phone playing 'Let Me Love My Youth' on his Instagram story, bringing attention to the track. The song was also nominated for Best Modern Rock Song at the 2023 Korean Music Awards.

Hanroro's debut song 'Let Me Love My Youth' was well-received for its lyrical style, resonating with the emotions of the MZ generation. The Korean Music Awards praised 'Let Me Love My Youth' for its "poetic lyrics that are sharp yet not harsh, and rock melodies that are poignant yet not sorrowful," capturing the essence of youth and nostalgia.

Her song 'Landing in Love'(사랑하게 될 거야) is the top track when sorting Hanroro's music by popularity on the streaming site Melon. The song explores the story of someone learning to love again despite the pain of love's end, with lyrics expressing a determination to nurture love even after heartbreak.

Hanroro's writing skills, honed through songwriting, have also been showcased in her work as a novelist. In July, she released a short story titled 'JAMONG SALGU CLUB'(자몽살구클럽), sharing the same name as her mini-album, which tells the story of children who want to live despite their struggles.

One fan commented on her literary sensibility, saying, "'JAMONG SALGU CLUB' is the book that made me cry the most," and reflecting on how adulthood has allowed them to comfort others in more mature ways.

Many fans have also been drawn to Hanroro's charming appearance. On online platforms like 'X', fans have praised her beauty, saying, "Sorry, but you're too lovely and beautiful," "She's adorable and cute, yet her stage presence is impressive," and "Blonde suits her so well."
