According to the RIAJ on the 27th, BTS's track 'The Truth Untold (Feat. Steve Aoki)' from their third studio album 'LOVE YOURSELF 轉 'TEAR'' has surpassed 50 million streams as of October, earning the 'Gold' certification. This achievement brings BTS's total to 47 'Gold' certifications, setting a new record for the most by any K-pop artist.
The RIAJ awards certifications based on cumulative streams: Gold (over 50 million), Platinum (over 100 million), and Diamond (over 500 million), with updates provided monthly.
'The Truth Untold (Feat. Steve Aoki)' is a pop ballad that showcases the sophisticated vocals and restrained emotion of BTS's vocal line (Jin, Jimin, V, Jungkook). The harmonious blend of their voices over a smooth melody leaves a lasting impression.
The song recently gained renewed attention during Jin's encore fan concert, where he performed it live on piano, receiving an enthusiastic response from fans.
BTS also holds 'Diamond' certifications for 'Dynamite' and 'Butter' in the streaming category from the RIAJ, a first and only for a K-pop act. Notably, 'Dynamite' achieved over 500 million streams in record time, earning its 'Diamond' status.
BTS has announced a new album release and a large-scale world tour for next spring. They have been sharing updates and working together as a group on the fan platform Weverse, heightening anticipation for their upcoming music.
