Min Hee-jin Supports NewJeans Members' Decision to Return to ADOR Amid Legal Disputes
On the 13th, a media outlet reported that Min released a statement saying, "The decision made by the members to return together yesterday was a choice made after deep contemplation and conversation," and added, "I respect and support that choice." She further stated, "Despite the difficulties, I cherish the courage of the members who have come together again to protect each other."
Min also mentioned, "I can start anew anywhere," and emphasized, "In any situation, NewJeans should be preserved as a group of five." She expressed her hopes for the members to become stronger and for NewJeans to improve, wishing for the happiness of all five members.
Min also addressed the legal disputes between herself and HYBE, stating, "There have been multiple lawsuits ongoing, leading to a prolonged difficult period for all of us," and clarified, "The lawsuit between HYBE and myself is entirely separate from NewJeans." She added, "I am doing my best as an individual, hoping for the truth to be revealed."
Previously, on the 12th, ADOR announced, "NewJeans members Haerin and Hyein have expressed their intention to continue activities with ADOR," and stated, "After careful consideration with their families and thorough discussions with ADOR, they have decided to respect the court's ruling and adhere to their exclusive contracts."
Additionally, Minji, Hanni, and Danielle stated, "Recently, after careful deliberation, we decided to return to ADOR," and explained, "One member is currently in Antarctica, which delayed communication, and due to the lack of response from ADOR, we had to announce our position separately."
ADOR responded to the return of the three members by stating, "This is an unresolved matter, and we are verifying their true intentions."
Full Statement from Former CEO Min Hee-jin
Hello, this is Min Hee-jin.
I am sharing my position in response to the many inquiries I have received.
The decision made yesterday for the members to return together must have come after deep consideration and discussions. I respect and support that decision.
Though there were difficulties, I deeply value the courage of the members who chose to hold hands again in order to protect each other.
I believe that one can start anew anywhere.
However, I firmly believe that, under any circumstances, NewJeans must remain intact as a five-member group.
I hope the members grow stronger and become an even better NewJeans, and above all, that all five members are happy.
Most importantly, I am grateful to the fans who have supported NewJeans even through difficult times. Please warmly welcome the members as they return after overcoming challenges.
I will also continue to watch over NewJeans’ music and growth and support them until the end.
The period during which multiple lawsuits were ongoing simultaneously has been a difficult time for all of us.
The lawsuit between myself and HYBE is a completely separate matter and has nothing to do with NewJeans. I am doing my best as an individual and hope that the truth will be clarified. I appreciate your continued support.
Thank you.
