IVE's Jang Wonyoung Purchases Luxury Villa in Seoul's Exclusive UN Village for $9 Million in Cash

IVE member Jang Wonyoung has made headlines by purchasing a luxury villa in the prestigious UN Village in Hannam-dong, Seoul, for a staggering 13.7 billion KRW (approximately $9.1 million) entirely in cash.

According to real estate industry sources and the Supreme Court Registry Office, Jang Wonyoung acquired a 244 square meter (approximately 2,626 square feet) unit in LUCID HAUS, Hannam-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul, in March. The ownership registration was completed last month.

The absence of any mortgage on the registry suggests that the purchase was made entirely in cash.

Lucid House is considered one of the most luxurious villas within the UN Village, offering panoramic views of the Han River and Namsan Mountain. With only 15 units across two buildings, it is highly exclusive. The villa boasts a 24-hour security system and private elevators, making it a popular residence for many celebrities.

In response to the news, a representative from Jang Wonyoung's agency, STARSHIP Entertainment, stated through a media outlet that the purchase was intended for family residence.

Born in 2004, the 21-year-old Jang Wonyoung debuted with the project group IZ*ONE in 2018 and re-debuted with IVE in 2021. She recently held a world tour, 'SHOW WHAT I HAVE,' at the KSPO Dome in Seoul from October 31 to November 2.

Jang Wonyoung is also active as an ambassador for various brands, including banks, fabric softeners, clothing, and hair products. She is expected to match the number of endorsements held by Byeon Woo-seok, known for his '10 billion KRW worth' in advertisements.
