Yangpa Returns with Sixth Studio Album 'Homecoming'
Singer Yangpa is making a comeback with her sixth studio album.

Yangpa is set to release Part 1 of her sixth studio album, 'Homecoming,' on November 2. This marks her first new release in about a year since her single '5:55' in December last year.

Celebrating her 28th anniversary in the music industry, this album revolves around the theme of 'returning,' as suggested by its title. Yangpa has taken part in writing and composing all the tracks, showcasing her identity as a singer-songwriter.

The album features contributions from producer Cloud, Urban Zakapa's Kwon Soon-il, James Son, and Hong Kong producer Alex Fung. Alex Fung, a recipient of the Hong Kong 903 Producer of the Year Award and Taiwan's Golden Melody Award, has worked with artists like Eason Chan, Jacky Cheung, and Karen Mok. Through co-producing with Yangpa, a fellow Berklee College of Music alum, the album blends Yangpa's vocals with Fung's production, offering a fresh musical exploration.

Hong Kong R&B singer Janice Vidal also joins as a duet partner. Janice Vidal is active across Asia, including Taiwan, Singapore, and the Philippines, and runs the independent label 'Royal Flux.' The song is crafted in a trilingual version, featuring Yangpa's Mandarin, Janice's Korean, and an English chorus.

This album is considered Yangpa's third musical chapter, combining her past vocal style with modern sounds to appeal to both her existing fanbase and new listeners. The title track, 'Time's Edge,' is a traditional ballad centered around Yangpa's emotional expression.

Yangpa proved her vocal prowess with five consecutive wins on MBC's 'King of Mask Singer' and gained global attention with her cover video of 'Golden' released in August. Following the album release, she will embark on a nationwide tour starting with a concert in Seoul on November 8.

Yangpa's sixth studio album 'Homecoming' will be available on various online music platforms at 6 PM on November 2.
