Park Bom's Legal Dispute with YG Entertainment: Agency Responds

Former 2NE1 member Park Bom has publicly shared a legal complaint against YG Entertainment's executive producer Yang Hyun-suk, prompting a response from her agency.

On the 23rd, Park Bom's agency, D-Nation Entertainment, stated on their official social media, "The settlement related to Park Bom's activities with 2NE1 has already been completed, and the legal complaint uploaded on social media has not been filed." They further emphasized, "Park Bom is currently halting all activities to focus on treatment and recovery. We are doing our utmost to ensure the artist regains her health."

Earlier that day, Park Bom posted on her Instagram, "Park Bom hates YG. Dear internet users, please investigate what YG did to Park Bom. Thank you," along with an image of the legal complaint.

In her post, Park Bom claimed, "The defendant has not paid the plaintiff the earnings that should have been rightfully given for a long time. I demand a thorough investigation and legal punishment. The defendant did not fairly distribute the profits from music releases, performances, broadcasts, advertisements, events, songwriting, and composing that the plaintiff participated in," adding an astronomical figure to the claim.

Park Bom also alleged, "YG did not provide a detailed account statement, causing severe financial loss and mental distress. This is a clear act of fraud and embezzlement."

Additionally, Park Bom shared a photo of a dog's lips painted red, captioning it, "Thank you, lipstick."

Park Bom had posted a similar message on the 22nd but deleted it. The previous post had a partially blurred phone number, but this time, eight digits were visible, raising concerns among fans. Comments included, "Cover your number," "Please take it down," and "This is heartbreaking." Park Bom, who has previously drawn attention for self-created dating rumors and heavily edited selfies, once again attracted attention with her unusual behavior.

Meanwhile, Park Bom is currently on a hiatus from her activities with 2NE1. Her agency stated, "After receiving medical advice for sufficient rest and stability, we have made this decision after deep discussions. We ask for the warm encouragement of fans for Park Bom's recovery."

Park Bom last performed with 2NE1 during the halftime show at a friendly match between Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United FC at Seoul World Cup Stadium on August 3rd and has not been active since.
