Oasis Reunites for Electrifying Performance in South Korea After 16 Years

Oasis made a triumphant return to South Korea for the first time in 16 years, drawing nearly 60,000 fans who united in song at the Goyang Sports Complex. Fans of all ages, from teenagers to middle-aged enthusiasts, gathered to enjoy the performance, singing along and embracing the music with joy.

The iconic band performed on the evening of October 21st as part of their world tour, attracting a crowd of 55,000. The audience didn't just watch; they immersed themselves in the music, singing and dancing with their eyes closed, fully embracing the experience.

Liam and Noel Gallagher kicked off the show by raising their hands together, igniting the crowd's excitement. Oasis opened with 'Hello' and continued with hits like 'Acquiesce,' 'Morning Glory,' 'Some Might Say,' and 'Bring It On Down.' Fans stood and cheered, regardless of their seating arrangement.

Throughout the performance, Liam and Noel engaged the audience, prompting even those in the upper tiers to rise and cheer. The crowd chanted their names whenever they appeared on the big screen.

Before performing 'Cigarettes & Alcohol,' Liam asked the audience to turn around and enjoy the song facing away from the stage, a nod to Manchester City's football chant tradition. This unique experience added to the concert's immersive atmosphere.

Oasis continued with performances of 'Fade Away,' 'Supersonic,' and 'Roll With It,' along with emotional renditions of 'Talk Tonight' and 'Half the World Away,' as fans illuminated the venue with their phone lights.

The energy picked up again with 'Little by Little,' 'D'You Know What I Mean?,' 'Stand by Me,' and 'Cast No Shadow,' as the crowd sang along enthusiastically.

During 'Slide Away,' Liam and Noel's harmonies captivated the audience, marking a special moment for fans who hadn't seen them perform together in South Korea for 16 years.

When Noel picked up a tambourine instead of a guitar, the iconic 'Whatever' played, bringing tears and hugs among fans. The main set concluded with 'Live Forever' and 'Rock 'n' Roll Star,' leaving the audience in awe.

For the encore, Oasis delivered 'The Masterplan,' 'Don't Look Back in Anger,' 'Wonderwall,' and 'Champagne Supernova.' Fans in the standing area formed circles, expressing their excitement and joy.

Formed in 1991, Oasis has sold over 90 million records worldwide. Before their 2009 breakup, all seven of their studio albums topped the UK charts. The band disbanded during a world tour due to a fallout between the Gallagher brothers.

After pursuing solo careers, they announced their reunion in August last year, embarking on a world tour for the first time in 15 years. Tickets for their South Korean concert sold out immediately, reflecting the fans' eagerness to see the band reunited. Noel had previously visited South Korea for solo performances, while Liam held concerts in 2011 and 2017.
