BOYNEXTDOOR Returns with 'Hollywood Action': A Showcase of Growth and Ambition

BOYNEXTDOOR's Jaehyun expressed his thoughts on their comeback title track 'Hollywood Action' during a media showcase for their mini 5th album 'The Action' held at KBS Arena in Gangseo-gu, Seoul on the 20th.

Woonhak shared, "From the moment I first heard the title track, I felt it would be a hit because it was so good. Our members participated in the song, adding to the listening pleasure. It's infused with our style. The lyrics 'Everybody Hollywood Action' and its addictive hook are key points," he explained.

Riwoo added, "The chorus really caught my ear. I found myself frowning in delight as I listened. It happened naturally," he recalled, expressing his admiration for the song upon first hearing it.

Leehan, who participated in the production of the title track 'Hollywood Action,' said, "I've been waiting for this day. It was a challenging but captivating process. I plan to take on more challenges in the future," he smiled. He also shared, "I have fond memories of the production process. The outro of the song was initially blank, but after suggesting an instrumental finish to the producer, it was well incorporated, which was fascinating. I also contributed a lot to the lyrics, so I hope listeners pay close attention," he said.

Jaehyun added, "Leehan played a significant role as an idea bank beyond just writing lyrics. He worked with the enthusiasm of a child at a playground, which was a refreshing stimulus for us," he praised.

Riwoo commented, "Leehan has been diligently learning how to write songs. It was fulfilling to see him achieve a big goal. This album, which deals with challenges and growth, seems to perfectly align with Leehan," he added.

Woonhak mentioned a 'precious dream' scene in the music video, saying, "There's a scene in the latter part where we go on stage to receive an award. I hope this scene becomes a reality at the end of the year." He continued, "I want to win an award at the year-end ceremonies. I want to perform on those grand stages, wear a suit, and lift a trophy," he expressed his aspirations.

Jaehyun described the album, "Our image has been quite free-spirited until now. This time, there might be moments where people think, 'Did they know how to do this?'" He added, "We accomplished a group dance with the help of choreographer BADA, something we hadn't shown before."

Taesan followed up on Jaehyun's comment, "BADA came personally to refine the details. He explained the thought process behind each move, making it easy to understand. We were grateful," he added.

BOYNEXTDOOR's mini 5th album 'The Action' showcases their desire for growth. The album credits include Jaehyun, Taesan, Woonhak, and Leehan, who have been consistently involved in song production. The title track 'Hollywood Action' features a swing rhythm, characterized by its push-and-pull beat. The album also includes tracks like 'Live In Paris,' 'JAM!,' 'Bathroom,' and 'You Know.'

Meanwhile, BOYNEXTDOOR's mini 5th album 'The Action' will be released on various music platforms at 6 PM on the 20th.
