Red Velvet's Wendy Tops Poll as Most Desired Travel Companion for Chuseok Holiday
The poll, conducted by TenAsia from October 2 to October 8, asked fans, 'Which female singer would you like to travel with during the Chuseok holiday?'
Wendy secured the top spot. She recently kicked off her debut solo world tour, '2025 WENDY 1st WORLD TOUR 'W:EALIVE' IN SEOUL,' with performances on September 20 and 21 at the Jangchung Arena in Seoul. The concerts marked the beginning of her world tour and were met with enthusiastic applause. Wendy transitioned to Ascend after ending her exclusive contract with SM Entertainment in April.
In second place is Yuri from the group Girls' Generation. She is set to embark on her third fan meeting tour, 'YURIVERSE,' starting in Bangkok on November 1, followed by stops in Ho Chi Minh City, Taipei, and other locations across Asia. The title 'YURIVERSE' reflects her desire to connect with fans as one in the universe. Yuri has also recently participated in the 'UNICEF TEAM' campaign, which aims to unite people to support children worldwide facing challenges such as war, disaster, and poverty.
Third place goes to Yoona, also from Girls' Generation. Yoona recently received acclaim for her role in the tvN weekend drama 'The Tyrant's Chef,' where she played 'Yeon Ji-young,' a French chef who time-travels to meet a tyrannical king with an exceptional palate. The drama concluded with impressive ratings, achieving a metropolitan area average of 17.4% and a peak of 20%, as well as a nationwide average of 17.1% and a peak of 19.4%, setting a new personal best and ranking first across all channels, including terrestrial networks, in its time slot.
Currently, on the Top Ten TenAsia website, polls are being conducted on topics such as 'Which male singer would you like to walk through the autumn leaves with?' and 'Which female singer would you like to walk through the autumn leaves with?' among others.
