K-Pop Star Bae Jin-young Expresses Interest in Acting, Eyes Psychopath Role

On October 13, Bae Jin-young sat down with TENASIA at a café in Cheongdam-dong, Gangnam, Seoul, to discuss his debut mini-album 'STILL YOUNG'.
When asked about his plans for acting, Bae Jin-young shared, "If a good opportunity arises, I would like to try acting again. I think it would be great to pursue it alongside my music career." He added with a playful tone, "I want to try a psychopath role, although I think my fans are hoping for genres like youth, school, or romantic comedy."
Bae Jin-young further explained, "The advantage of being an actor is that you can explore 'another self'. I played a villain in a movie in Thailand, and it was really fun, except for the long makeup sessions. I'd love to try it in Korea as well." He also mentioned, "Recently, I was inspired by Kim Young-kwang's character in 'Trigger'. I'd like to play a similar crazy villain."
Bae Jin-young's debut mini-album 'STILL YOUNG' features five tracks, including the hip-hop title track 'Round&Round'. The album was produced with the support of Grammy-nominated producer Eric Blu2th Griggs and Grammy-winning composer Ninos Hanna.
Bae Jin-young's first mini-album 'STILL YOUNG' is set to be released on various music streaming platforms on October 14 at 6 PM.
