Jannabi Unveils Tracklist and Lyrics Preview for Upcoming Album 'Sound of Music pt.2: LIFE'

Korean band Jannabi has officially kicked off their fall comeback by revealing part of the tracklist and a lyrics preview for their upcoming fourth studio album, 'Sound of Music pt.2: LIFE'.

Through their official social media channels, Jannabi shared a glimpse of the album, set to release on the 21st. The tracklist hints at the nuanced exploration of life's temperatures, showcasing Jannabi's signature literary sensibility and musical philosophy. The first track, 'Earth', features the line, "Barefoot man / We live on this round earth / With our two feet / Barely," while the second track, 'After School Activity', includes the phrase, "You must know how to steal / To know how to run."

The excitement of the city is captured in 'Oh New York City' with the exclamation, "Empire State! / Stand on tiptoe!" The fifth track, 'Jack Kerouac', includes the line, "We sat on the road / And cried openly," and features a mysterious collaboration with an artist marked as '?'. Following the unexpected collaboration with aespa's Karina in pt.1's title track 'In the Name of Love!', fans are eager to see who will join Jannabi this time.

The subtitle 'LIFE' represents a reimagined chapter of Jannabi's life philosophy, previously explored in songs like 'Dream, Book, Strength, and Wall', 'Goodbye Sadness', and 'Romantic Island', now infused with contemporary emotions. While pt.1 captured the romance of spring and youthful vitality, pt.2 enriches the autumnal atmosphere with orchestral depth and layers of folk and classical influences. The playful nickname "Jannabi over mackerel in autumn" is expected to gain more traction with this album.

The album jacket, also revealed, captures the two members leaping against a backdrop of green hills. The film-like texture and diagonally tilted frame, along with the red lettering title, add a retro aesthetic. The new profile images, depicting the members in the blue light of dusk with serene expressions, perfectly convey Jannabi's unique musical lyricism and fairy-tale romance.
