BTS's 'Spring Day' Ranks 37th on Rolling Stone's 'Greatest Songs of the 21st Century'

On October 8th, Rolling Stone released their list of 'The 250 Greatest Songs of the 21st Century So Far' on their official website. 'Spring Day' secured the highest position for a Korean song at 37th, reaffirming BTS's unparalleled influence.
Rolling Stone praised the song, stating, "'Spring Day' is a signature track from BTS, one of the biggest pop groups of the 21st century. The emotions of recovery and hope that bloom from loss resonate transcendentally, leading to BTS's global rise. 'Spring Day' also showcases the strong cohesion in their music."
Released in February 2017 as the title track of their second studio album repackage 'YOU NEVER WALK ALONE', 'Spring Day' became the first song on South Korea's major music platform Melon to surpass 1 billion streams. It has remained on the daily chart for approximately 7 years and 11 months, holding the record for the longest chart entry in Melon's history. Additionally, the album featuring the song debuted at 61st on the US Billboard 200 chart (March 4, 2017) and stayed on the chart for two consecutive weeks.
'Spring Day' is an alternative hip hop track that combines Brit-rock sensibilities with electronic sounds. RM and Suga infused their personal experiences into the lyrics, delivering a warm message of hope and anticipation for a reunion with a distant friend. RM also contributed to the composition of the song's main melody. Its lyrical melody and beautiful lyrics continue to resonate with many, maintaining its enduring popularity.
