Nana Opens Up About Her Full-Body Tattoos and New Solo Album

On October 2, Nana took to her Instagram to express, "I have no regrets. I've left only the tattoo that holds meaning to me on my body. 1968, the person I respect the most."
She continued, "I've returned to a clean slate. Overcoming pain and growing stronger, the past pain has also become a memory." She added, "By honestly expressing, acknowledging, and accepting my flaws and pain, I overcame them."
On the same day, Nana released her first solo album, stating, "I want to create songs that everyone can relate to. Everyone has their own pain, but it can be overcome. I want to send a message of hope to anyone." She wished for the well-being of many.
Earlier that day, Nana's official YouTube channel uploaded the music video for 'Scar,' a track from her album 'Seventh Heaven 16.' The music video portrays inner turmoil and highlights Nana's only tattoo, '1968,' which commemorates her mother's birth year.
Nana previously revealed that she attempted full-body tattoos as a way to cope with a difficult period. She stated, "I don't regret it, but I realized over time that it was a foolish choice." Following her mother's advice, she decided to remove all tattoos except for '1968.'
Nana debuted in 2009 with the girl group After School's hit 'Because of You.' She also participated in After School's unit groups Orange Caramel and After School Red. In August 2023, she starred in the Netflix series 'Mask Girl,' and in July, she appeared in the film 'Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint.'
