J-POP ZIP 2025: A Celebration of Japanese Music and Culture in Seoul

Universal Music Japan, led by CEO Naoshi Fujikura, is set to host 'J-POP ZIP 2025' from November 19 to 21 at Space S50 in Seongdong-gu, Seoul.
This event is gaining attention as a unique opportunity to enjoy Japanese music and culture for free. Here are three reasons why 'J-POP ZIP 2025' is highly anticipated.
Featuring 24 J-POP Artists Including Tomoaki Baba, Kyoshichi (Clang Ruler), and Crystal Kay, with a Special Appearance by Sekai no Owari
The Special Live Stage at 'J-POP ZIP 2025' offers a free DJ stage during the day and a paid stage at night, showcasing 24 artists active in both Korea and Japan. On the 19th, artists such as Blah and Miso will perform, along with Tomoaki Baba, known for his saxophone performance in the popular anime film 'Blue Giant.' On the 20th, performers include WISU, Minsu, former LOONA member Yves, and rising Japanese artist Kyoshichi of Clang Ruler. The 21st will feature Yeonwoo, former DIA member Jueun, Yonyon, and Crystal Kay, a popular Japanese singer with Korean roots.
Additionally, renowned Japanese band Sekai no Owari will visit on the first day to conduct the opening ceremony, marking their first return to Korea since their 2019 concert. Although there will be no separate performance or talk show, this visit offers a chance for interaction with local fans.

'J-POP ZIP 2025' also includes meaningful free experiences. The 'Listening Box' allows attendees to immerse themselves in J-POP music by placing their heads inside a box. Other attractions include a lyric zone for photo opportunities and an exhibition zone featuring 18 notable artists from Universal Music.
The lineup includes artists such as Alessandro, Back Number, Brandy Senki, Crystal Kay, Kyoshichi (Clang Ruler), Marcy, Meiyo, Novelbright, Oshikikeigo, Retororiron, Sekai no Owari, Ten Feet, Tomoaki Baba, Wanuka, Wurtz, Yorushika, Yuika, and Zutomayo (in alphabetical order). This diverse lineup promises to captivate fans with various J-POP genres.

Beyond performances, 'J-POP ZIP 2025' offers a range of activities to create unforgettable memories. The SEGA booth will feature game experiences, including a silent disco themed around popular IPs like 'Sonic the Hedgehog' and 'Persona Series,' as well as a zone for trying out the latest releases.
Over the three days, attendees can also enjoy Japanese tourism and specialty product showcases, cultural experiences, limited edition goods, and beer. Notably, all non-performance programs are free, making the event accessible to everyone.
'J-POP ZIP 2025' is organized by Universal Music Japan, with sponsorship from SEGA/ATLUS, The Music, Shizuoka Prefecture Seoul Office, Tokushima Prefecture/Eastar Jet, Nagasaki Prefecture Seoul Office, Miyagi Prefecture Seoul Office, and the Korea-Japan Festival. JETRO supports the event, and Lotte Asahi Liquor is a participating vendor.
