Rosé, a member of the global sensation BLACKPINK and a successful solo artist, has made history by winning the 'Song of the Year' award at the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards (MTV VMAs), one of the four major music award shows in the United States.
On the 7th of this month, Rosé took home the prestigious award for her collaboration with pop superstar Bruno Mars on the track 'APT.' during the ceremony held at the UBS Arena in New York. This marks the first time a K-pop artist has won this award at the MTV VMAs.

Dressed in a stunning gold gown, Rosé expressed her disbelief and gratitude, saying, "I can't believe it. Thank you to Bruno Mars for believing in me and creating this world together. I'll be in touch." She added, "This is a moment that rewards all the hard work. I dedicate this award to my 16-year-old self who dreamed of this." In a heartfelt moment, she also thanked her producer and bandmates in Korean, saying, "Teddy oppa, BLACKPINK members, I won an award. Thank you always and I love you."
Rosé set a new record for K-pop artists by being nominated in eight categories at this year's VMAs, the most ever for a K-pop artist.
