Son Tae-jin Crowned Best Male Solo Artist at the 13th Top Ten Awards
Organized by TENASIA, the 13th TTA aims to honor the top global artists of the first half of 2025. The event saw fierce competition among artists representing K-pop and K-content for the coveted title of 'Best Global Artist.'
Son Tae-jin expressed his gratitude, saying, "This award feels incredibly significant. I owe all the glory to my fans, SonShine, who have always supported me unconditionally."
He continued, "Receiving such an award makes me reflect on whether I am deserving of it. I am determined to repay this honor with even better music. I promise to do my best and hope for your continued support. Thank you."
In July, Son released a duet single titled 'Now I Will Protect You' with singer Jeon Yoo-jin. The song topped the Melon Trot genre chart (by release date) and was the most spotlighted trot song on its release day. Additionally, he held a solo fan meeting, 'You Are My SonShine,' on July 2nd and 3rd in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul.
The preliminary voting for the TTA took place from May 19 to June 1, followed by the final voting from June 5 to 14. Other winners included Cha Eun-woo in the Male Actor category, Astro in the Male Idol Group category, Kim Hye-yoon in the Female Actor category, and NiziU in the Female Idol Group category. BTS's V and BLACKPINK's Jisoo were named in the Male and Female Solo Idol categories, respectively. The Rookie award went to NEXZ, while Son Tae-jin and Kim Tae-yeon were selected in the Male and Female Solo Singer categories. Park Seo-jin's 'Honey Tip' was chosen as the Best Song.
