GOT7's Yugyeom to Begin Military Service in September

GOT7's Yugyeom is set to begin his mandatory military service this September.

Yugyeom's agency, AOMG, announced via their official social media channels on the 23rd that Yugyeom has received final acceptance as a 'specialist soldier' from the Military Manpower Administration. He will enlist on September 29th, undergo basic military training, and then serve in the Army Band.

Yugyeom personally addressed his fans, known as Ahgase, with a handwritten letter on his social media. He assured them, "I will enter the military carefully and healthily for our country and do well." He added, "If you miss me, please listen to my songs and think of me. I promise to return soon with a more developed and grown version of myself, along with a great album."

As the youngest member of GOT7 and a solo artist under AOMG, Yugyeom has been actively involved in music and performances. He recently embarked on the 'TRUSTY' world tour and released his second solo album, 'Interlunar,' in June. Earlier this year, GOT7 released their full group album 'WINTER HEPTAGON' and held solo concerts in Korea and Thailand.
