YoungpaC Returns with a New 'Girlish' Charm in EP 'Growing Pain pt.1: FREE'

YoungpaC has announced their comeback with a fresh 'girlish' charm, adding a new twist to their existing hip and 'handsome' concept.

On October 14th, YoungpaC held a media showcase at Yes24 Wonder Rock Hall in Seodaemun-gu, Seoul, to celebrate the release of their 4th EP, 'Growing Pain pt.1: FREE'.

During the event, member Wi Yeon-jeong explained, "Our title track 'FREESTYLE' is about expressing our voices despite the world's attempts to define us."

Han Ji-eun shared that all members participated in writing the lyrics for 'FREESTYLE', saying, "We faced a lot of uncertainty and anxiety on our journey from trainees to artists. Despite these worries, we wanted to express our desire to do what we love through the lyrics."

She added, "We intentionally included catchy points in our lyrics, like 'head, shoulders, knees, and toes', to make it more relatable to the audience."

Jianna commented, "The main theme of this album is growth. We wanted to showcase our growth in style and visuals, highlighting YoungpaC's unique hip and girlish charm."

Han Ji-eun expressed her aspirations, saying, "We want to perform on many festival stages domestically and eventually on major international stages like 'Lollapalooza' and 'Coachella'."

Jianna added, "We aim to show our growth with this album and hope to one day headline a festival stage, energizing the audience."

Regarding their tour in the U.S., the birthplace of hip-hop, Jeong Sun-hye said, "We're thrilled but aspire for even bigger stages. Since our debut festival in LA, we've performed on various international stages. We hope to hold our own 'world' tour in the near future."

Han Ji-eun also shared her goals, "Through this promotion, I want to achieve long-term chart success and perform an encore live as if we've devoured the CD after winning first place on a music show."

The EP 'Growing Pain pt.1: FREE' explores the identity crisis and growth pains of YoungpaC, starting from the question 'Who is YoungpaC?'. It features seven tracks, including the title track 'FREESTYLE', 'YSSR', and 'ADHD'. The title track, based on punk hip-hop, includes autobiographical lyrics written by all five members.

YoungpaC's 4th EP 'Growing Pain pt.1: FREE' will be released on various music platforms at 6 PM on October 14th.
