SHINee's Key Returns with Third Studio Album 'HUNTER' After Three Years

On the afternoon of the 11th, Key held a press conference at the Pullman Ambassador Seoul East Pole to discuss his new album, 'HUNTER'.
During the event, Key shared insights about the title track 'HUNTER', saying, "Initially, the song wasn't themed this way. It was originally about wanting to know someone's number, but I suggested keywords that gave it a wild animal vibe. Writer Kenzie did a great job incorporating these keywords into the lyrics." He further explained, "The song deals with the battle of a divided self. It's not about zombies or ghosts, but rather something ambiguous and strange."
Key also commented on the significance of a full-length album in today's music scene, stating, "There's no real difference between mini and full albums these days. It's not like we promote for six months just because it's a full album. However, for fans, it means they get to hear 10 new songs and see 10 new performances at concerts." He added, "For artists, there's pressure when making music videos or selecting songs. If not for the fans, there's no reason to release a full album. It's a gift solely for them."
'HUNTER' marks Key's first full-length album since 'Gasoline' in August 2022. The album includes the title track 'HUNTER' and nine other songs such as 'Trap' and 'Strange'. 'HUNTER' is a dance track featuring a grand bass, heavy kick sound, rhythmic guitar riffs, and a variety of synth pads. The performance for this track was pre-released during the 'SMTOWN LIVE 2025' concert at Tokyo Dome on the 9th and 10th.
Key's third studio album 'HUNTER' will be available on various music streaming platforms from 6 PM on the 11th.
