TWICE Ignites Lollapalooza Chicago as Headliners with Electrifying Performance

On August 2nd, local time, the globally renowned K-pop group TWICE took the stage as headliners at the world-famous music festival 'Lollapalooza Chicago' held at Grant Park, Illinois. Sharing the spotlight with pop stars like Olivia Rodrigo, Sabrina Carpenter, Luke Combs, and A$AP Rocky, TWICE performed in front of an audience that averages 115,000 attendees per day. This marked their debut at a global festival, showcasing the experience they have gained from numerous world tours.
The anticipation was palpable as the park was illuminated by the glow of TWICE's official light sticks, 'Candybongs.' The crowd erupted in cheers as the group appeared on stage, kicking off the festival with their first English single, 'The Feels,' which made its way onto the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The members skillfully engaged the audience, performing hits like 'MORE & MORE,' 'Dance The Night Away,' and 'What is Love?' to quickly elevate the atmosphere.

The crowd roared during the performance of 'TAKEDOWN (JEONGYEON, JIHYO, CHAEYOUNG),' a track from the Netflix hit 'K-pop Demon Hunters,' in which TWICE participated in the original soundtrack. Jeongyeon, Jihyo, and Chaeyoung embodied the brave characters Lumi, Joy, and Mira from the animation, enhancing the viewing experience. The performance of 'Strategy,' a song enjoying a resurgence on the Billboard Hot 100, further fueled the excitement.

TWICE reached the climax of their performance with their latest track 'THIS IS FOR,' exclaiming, "Amazing time tonight!" They added, "We've performed countless shows over the past 10 years, but 'Lollapalooza Chicago' is our first festival stage. We will never forget this moment. Thank you for enjoying TWICE's performance with such enthusiasm. We hope it was a wonderful time for you as well. We'll be back with good news, music, and a world tour." The encore concluded successfully amid overwhelming support from the audience.
Fans worldwide who watched the Lollapalooza Chicago performance streamed live on TWICE's official YouTube channel praised the show, commenting, "A blessing from the hot girls," "Even just standing still, the power of K-pop is felt from the nine members of TWICE," and "It's refreshing to see a different concert and production tailored for the festival."
