Wanna One Reunites for SBS Variety Show 'B:MY BOYZ'

The third installment of 'B:MY BOYZ' will feature members of the popular group Wanna One as the top idols.

On the upcoming episode of SBS's global boy group audition program 'B:MY BOYZ', airing on the 2nd, the third round will showcase a performance with Wanna One members Bae Jin-young, Lee Dae-hwi, Ha Sung-woon, and Park Woo-jin.

The third round promises to be even more exciting with MCs Miyeon from (G)I-DLE and Dex co-hosting the event. When Miyeon and Dex introduced Wanna One as the top idols, the B:GINNERs (contestants) were reportedly shocked, exclaiming, "We never expected this," and "Unbelievable," raising anticipation for their genuine reactions.

Wanna One, a group that dominated a generation of K-pop and whose members are now active in various fields, will reunite for 'B:MY BOYZ'. Their iconic songs will be featured as the third-round performance tracks, offering fans a special experience.

In a previously released teaser, Wanna One members expressed their admiration for the B:GINNERs' cover performances, saying, "Did we ever have that much energy?" This round introduces a unique 'team switch' rule, where different teams perform the first and second verses of a song. The competition intensifies as viewers eagerly await which contestant will be chosen as the 'TOP PICK' by Wanna One.

In a web variety show 'Neighborhood Star K Show' released on the 29th of last month, Ha Sung-woon, a guest on the show, drew attention by commenting on the possibility of a Wanna One reunion, saying, "It feels like we haven't made any progress." He added, "Whenever we try to do something, someone enlists in the military. When someone is about to be discharged, another..." and "Some members are focusing on acting, so they aren't concentrating on this side."

Currently, Ong Seong-wu and Park Ji-hoon are focusing on acting rather than music, while Kim Jae-hwan and Hwang Min-hyun are serving in the military. Kang Daniel is set to enlist later this year, and Lai Kuan-lin has retired from the entertainment industry.

'B:MY BOYZ' airs every Saturday at 5:20 PM and is available on various global OTT platforms such as Netflix, ABEMA, WeTV, and Rakuten Viki, showing significant metrics across regions like Greater China, Southeast Asia, and Europe.
