Singer Kim Jung-yeon has been named 'Artist of the Month' for July.

The recognition comes from a recent poll conducted by the global voting service platform, Top Ten TenAsia, which sought to identify the standout artist with a July birthday.

Kim Jung-yeon, born on July 22, 1992, received the most votes among artists with July birthdays, earning him the title of 'Artist of the Month.'

Kim debuted in May 2015 as the leader and main vocalist of the boy group A6P. Unfortunately, the group disbanded in April 2016, less than a year after their debut, and Kim subsequently fulfilled his mandatory military service.

After completing his service, Kim made a notable comeback in 2020 by participating in TV Chosun's 'Mr. Trot.' His idol-like visuals, dynamic performances, and emotive voice captured the audience's attention. In March of the same year, he released his debut album 'Guardian Angel,' marking his official entry into the trot music scene.

Kim Jung-yeon showcased his talent in various competition programs, not stopping at 'Mr. Trot.' In 2023, he appeared on 'Burning Trotman,' finishing in fourth place. As part of the 'Burning Trotman' Top 7, he embarked on a nationwide tour, connecting with fans across the country. He also continued his journey by appearing on 'Current King of Singers 2.'

Kim is actively performing on various stages. On July 7, he appeared on KBS1's 'Gayo Stage' for the 'Empathy with the Times' special, delivering a powerful rendition of 'Do Not Change, My Love.' His strong vocal presence and emotional delivery captivated the audience from the first note.

On July 26 at 5 PM, Kim will hold a solo concert at Yonsei University's Sinchon Campus Auditorium, engaging with his fanbase, Kim Jung-yeon Research Institute. Through his social media, Kim expressed, "Following last year, I will be holding a solo concert to celebrate my birthday again this year. I plan to make this an annual event under the same title, and I look forward to showcasing various aspects of myself. Please show a lot of interest."
